The CerMark LMM 6000 coating creates permanent black laser marks on metals with CO2 lasers. Will also work with fiber lasers that can be set to 200 kHz. or higher frequency.
Every laser system is different and you will have to make test marks to develop the best settings for your specific unit. Different power and speed settings will be required for different metal types as some suck the laser heat away very fast.
Laser bonding will not work well on metals coated with paint, a film or lacquered coating. A clear coating can be applied on top of the laser mark.
Application: Aerosol can- spray on
On average a spray can should yield around 2,773 square inches of coverage.
General purpose black marks for most harder metal types such as Stainless Steel, will work on some aluminum grades but NOT recommended for softer metals like Brass, Copper, Pewter, and Aluminum. CerMark LMM 14 is recommended for softer metals.
